R8500 FW V1.0.2.64_1.0.62 still QoS major issues

I still experience MAJOR issues regarding QoS management.

I put a device with low priority and still sucking all the internet bandwidth!!!

For god sake how long will it take to solve that issue?

Guests are welcomed but not at my expense!

Did you let Speedtest define or you manually defined the bandwidth speed?

Kindly provide a screenshot of the bandwidth utilization window showing the list of devices and its priority.

Which device has a low priority?

Have you tried using a different device to be set on low priority? Will you experience the same?

What's your Internet speed from your ISP?

ISP speed 6/1.02

Well my backbone network wired has the highest priority, my laptops has high but guests have the lowest and when I pig download with the highest they still do not hve the highest priority on Ipads , phones  have the lowest. Those annoying devices suck all the bandwidth!

As I mentioned earlier LAN config, QoS and firewall has to be reworked completly!

  The QOS up does not work. No matter what limit you set below your rated limit it exceeds it.

This was told to the engineers they are terrible in responding back and when they did they gave

me a link to a beta firmware (.28) that was on this forum from 12/2015! This is insulting.

 

   When are we getting a firmware thast fixes QOS and also activates MIMO?

What the hell is going on they should in high places work 10X harder to solve customers issues!

I agree this is insulting.

For christ sake I am sick of those manufacturers ditching us with no good and reliable solutions! They stick to the procedure and polittely they are saying your issues do not interrest us! We as customers are bringing food to manufacturers employees! Try to respect us at least!

The LAN QSS and Firewall basis are far below the minimum required for devices costing 200-500$ witch were entry-level business so we should have at least that technology.

RESPECT US!

This is a really fondamental issue this unit is having.

QoS is pittyfull and should be delt with sspecial attention.

Bandwidth balance is a joke and does not work at all it is like having an unmanaged switch.

And priority according to programs are even a joke.

L1,2,3 techs and management go and get a pencil go to the drawing board and cook something relevant and smart witch can at least be on the same level as the unit's price and niche!!!!!!!

Go on my ideas I presented earlier to have to guidance and direction!

I busted my behind to properly analyse those issues and try to put yourself in the good direction, so try to listen to me!

I'm facing the exact same issue on the R800 that I bought specifically for QoS as my son is sucking all the bandwidth with YouTube videos despite its iPad Mini being set at low priority.

 

It simply doesn't work at all. 230€ thrown away!!!

This seems to still be happening I just upgraded from the R8000 to the R8500 and the dynamic QoS cant seem to handle Xbox One downloads while someone is watching HULU or Netflix the stream which I set to have the highest priority while Xbox One I set to have a lower priority takes all the bandwith..
