R8500 -- shuts down, reboot loop after power cycle
Nighthawk R8500
Firmware Version
V1.0.2.64_1.0.62
This unit has been perfectly reliable.... except when it is not.
Issue A: 5G wifi drops connection to my brand new dell XPS laptop at times. I sit 12 feet from the R8500 on line of sight.
I have now had two instances where the unit was hung completely. Power cycling the unit throws it into a reboot loop.
Once when this happened was before I attached a small hard drive to the USB port (physically small, it is 2TB, USB-3).
Once when this happened was after I has the drive attached. Only after disconnecting the drive was I able to get the unit up and running.
(Can I find the unit serial # in netgear genie? I am looking and cant find it)
Please advise!
