R9000 updated to FW V1.0.5.42 this morning and now will not connect to the spectrum provided cable modem (Hitron Tech EN2251 with a single 2.5G rg-45 port) the R9000 constantly reboots. Connected the R9000 to a D-Link DCM-301 modem and it works fine. Primary physical difference is the 1G port on the DCM-301 verses the 2.5G port on the EN2251. Did auto negotiation in the new FW get hosed? Really want my 600M internet back!! Just can't deal with the 25M from the old modem!!

Thank you for the help. I did not do that, because I was set to auto update and didn't see a restore point for that date. All of them were way older. I had an older modem that worked just fine using all the same cables, so I used it until the SFP+ I'd ordered arrived the next day. The 10G LAN SFP+ module (and a cat 8 cable) I purchased for the R9000 worked perfectly, and I have better thruput.

Did you factory reset the router after updating FW and setup from scratch.
Power OFF the modem and router for 1 minute then back ON with the modem first then the router lastly?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP would be recommended.

Thank you for the help. I did do all of that, but neither 1G port ever showed a connection (router or modem) and the router timed out then rebooted continuously. I had an older modem that worked just fine using all the same cables. However, the fix I ended up using was to purchase a 10G LAN SFP+ module and a cat 8 cable. The R9000 worked perfectly, and I have better thruput.

Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
