Hello @blakmax
Welcome to the community!
The fan should be working.
If you want to see the fan in action, you may try adjusting the temperature from http://routerlogin.net/debug.htm

Re: R9000 Fan?
Can you explain the fan temp algorithm and differences in values?
Is the T-High the temperature at which antenna disables?
Is the T-Low the temp at which fan kicks in?
Can the fan throttle depending on temperature?
I want to avoid damaging the device in any way by messing with these values.

Re: R9000 Fan?
T(High-H) - This means that when the temperature reaches this thresh hold the fan will kick in at at faster speed 4000rpm
T(High-L) - This means that when the temperature reaches this thresh hold the fan will kick in at at faster speed 3500rpm
T(Low-H) - This means that when the temperature reaches this thresh hold the fan will kick in at at faster speed 3000rpm
T(Low-L) - This means that when the temperature reaches this lower thresh hold the fan will kick in on the lowest speed 2000rpm

Re: R9000 Fan?
the r9000 fan only spins if some specific components in the unit cross pre-stated threshold temperatures...from what i have observed, unless you mount the device in a space with no ventilation/ air movement, the r9000 doesnt cross the threshold temperature that necessitates the activation of the fan

Re: R9000 Fan?
So set up to run the fan only when needed like some pc power supplies to cut down on the noise .
