R9000 Firmware V1.0.5.28 Plex Not available for Remote Access
After upgrading to Nighthawk V9000 Firmware V1.0.5.28, and running Plex 1.19.5.3112 Sept 29, 2020 -
Remote access stopped working. I had manually specify a public port checked. The default port of 32400 was in the specified port blank. You could access Plex inside the home network, but not outside.
To fix this, I changed the default port to 30000, and hit Apply - and now Plex can be seen outside the home network.
To test availability - you can use CanYouSeeMe(dot)org https://canyouseeme.org

Re: R9000 Firmware V1.0.5.28 Plex Not available for Remote Access
This is still an issue with the current firmware.
The only fix for this is to downgrade to version 1.0.2 and then it is accessible outside the network.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE FIX THIS FIRMWARE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

Try manually setting the outgoing port. The default port doesn't work, but when I manually set an outgoing port, it worked for me.

Re: R9000 Firmware V1.0.5.28 Plex Not available for Remote Access
I did, I tried a bunch of ports, and canyouseeme.org even says timed out.
But downgrading to 1.0.2 fixed it.
This is definately an issue with the firmware. I've done a huge google search and many are having this problem.
