R9000 Not Connected, Secured

R9000 Not Connected, Secured
Seems to be a common issue but, wifi not connecting and showing, "not connected, secured" on all devices. I've reset the router and plugged directly to the modem to verify ISP service. Netgear emailed what appears to be a standard response with instructions for changing the wifi channels, updating firmware, etc. The problem is, I've got to be connected to the router in order to make this happen. I've connected directly to the router but to see if I could access but no luck. I'm at the plug & play level of tech knowledge and I just spent two hours on hold waiting on tech support. Hopeing this is an easy fix. Thanks in advance.....
