R9000 X10 needs a WAN kill switch

Hi everyone.  I'm trying to figure out a way to completely disable the WAN port on the R9000 but I see nothing in the admin webgui that allows me to disable the WAN only but leave the LAN ports and wireless radios active so my local home network still functions properly.  I want to be able to shut down ALL INTERNET traffic so my local network is totally isolated from any internet access inbound/outbound.  I suppose I can unplug the WAN cable from the router when I wish to isolate my home network but I'm looking for a better administration software option to use from my PC instead of going to the router and pulling out the WAN cable.  My old Asus RT-AC66U allowed me to enable/disable the WAN port via its webgui as a firmware setting.  Why doesn't this expensive R9000 router not have such a firmware option?  Neither the Netgear OEM firmware versions or the latest Voxel firmware version has such an option to turn OFF/ON the WAN port on the R9000 that I can find.  Any suggestions?

   Yup.

To what is the R9000 WAN/Internet port connected?  Disable that?

It might not be convenient, but I'd expect that going to BASIC >
Internet, and setting some invalid IP parameter(s) or other setting(s)
would be pretty effective.

I'd guess very (vanishingly) low demand.
