Not only cannot get any help for my R9000 problem,  now I am getting spam from this forum user?

Agree.

Got a forum message today that was not anything to do with Netgear support. Deleted.

Thanks for the detailed report.  Which "this forum user"?  Mine came
from "Fatubaby".

Did you "Report" the junk message (to a moderator)?

The real question would be how long it takes a moderator to delete
that user.  Based on similar complaints about junk/noise forum postings,
I wouldn't hold my breath.

Note that there's a separate forum for complaints about the forums:

You must not get out much.  One junk message from one "user" is not
enough to upset me.  I may have gotten two in 2018.  Compare that with
the number of times people post irrelevant noise like:

Re: RECEIVING SPAM EMAIL FROM FORUM USER

@antinode, they must not like you Smiley Happy

I got 3! Two from Shane223 a day apart and I reported it the first time. 3rd day, also from Fatubaby which I also reported.

Checking those ID's (clicking on the name) showed each posted NO messages and joined just before sending me the PC. Both were GMAIL.COM addresses...

I'd assume that if the report was read those ID's would not be in the system, but they are still there. Maybe the moderators only revoked the passwords so they can't get in? Possible the forum s/w might not allow removal (hard to believe)?

This stuff happens from time to time though. I also how this is done, individually would take some time to do, so I'd assume it is some sort of program or script? Maybe a 'hole' in the forum s/w?
