Random short drops on Nighthawk R6020
Hi my router will just suddenly have these short bad periods lasting up to like 30 seconds at most. I assume this is somewhat common and have seen several other posts about it but the solutions I saw have yet to fix the problem. I already checked with the isp and everything is supposedly fine with the modem, I've lowered the MTU to 1420 and have tried switching wifi channels but it still happens. No factory reset yet but I'm just making sure it couldn't be something else.

Please visit and post about this here for your model router:

Be sure to include ISP modem brand and model information.
Good Luck.

Re: Random short drops on Nighthawk R6020
What are these "short bad periods"?
What actually happens? (in detail since we aren't there to see/experience it)
What firmware version are you on?
What modem/gateway is it connected to?
How often is it happening?

Re: Random short drops on Nighthawk R6020
So I often have command prompt running a google ping to catch when this happens. It's pretty random but usually at least once an hour, sometimes 3. Just updated to FW 1.0.0.52 recently hoping it would be fixed but nope. Modem is an Arris TM1602A from Spectrum.
