Randomly unable to connect to router
I've bought my Nighthawk R7000P a little of a year ago. Since then every once in a while I'm unable to connect to the router. I've kept my firmware up to date (running V188.8.131.52_10.1.23 now) but it never made any difference. Sometimes it's just my iPhone that's unable to connect, sometimes I can't even connect to it via ethernet cable. The SSID shows up but I am unable to connect. Via cable I don't seem to get an IP address. I've also had the router just showing a red light instead of a white one. I've tried factory resetting the device which did not help. I've also tried to look at the logs, but they seem to get cleared every restart so I can't get any useful information out of my device.
Multiple devices (Chromecast, iPhone's and macbooks) are unable to connect. A couple of times a week I have to reset my router to get internet access again. How can I prevent that? I still have warrenty but I'm afraid they will say it just works during a test...
Re: Randomly unable to connect to router
I would first check your modem make sure it isn't losing connection. Then check the cords between the modem and the router may swap it out for a new one see if that improves the issues.
