Hello All -
I have recently replaced the hard drives in my ReadyNAS Duo v2 with 2 Western Digital Red 4GB drives. Initially I was able to transfer data to them but now the ReadyNAS just shows all four blue lights and is unresponsive after power up. I have tried to reset it with and without the discs but get nothing. Has it died? Any other, less terminal ideas?
And, if I do need to replace it, will other NASes be able to read the data?
Thanks,
Ian.

Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the ReadyNAS products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with NAS products and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this router forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:

Hi Furry,
Thanks for taking time to help out a techno klutz. No idea how I got into this forum. I have posted as you suggested.
Ian.
