ReadySHARE backup problem

ReadySHARE backup problem

I just attached a WD easystore 8 Tb drive to the router to use as a backup drive. In installed ReadySHARE and set up a backup scheme using the defaults. After waiting overnight for the first full backup, the ReadySHARE Vault dashboard reports Backup protection at 34%, having backed up 27k files and 51k files not backed up yet.

When I look at the backup files from the Restore tab, nearly all my folders are there but most if not all have only some of the files backed up. This same thing happened when I used the Win10 native backup.

Is there some setting or file attribute or other problem that is causing the backup routine to miss the majority of my files?

If the backup job was "34%" complete, then I would not be amazed if
not all the files had been saved.

I'd give it another day or two before declaring a disaster.

These routers are not especially quick at this task.  Even with a
more serious NAS system, an initial backup job can be pretty slow.  On
the bright side, future incremental backup jobs should involve less
work, hence less time.

The user didn't let it finish?
