Readyshare for HP

P1606dn

Are some older HP printers not compatible with Readyshare? I can't see my HP P1606dn.

"see"?  Where, exactly, are you looking?  How, exactly, is your
P1606dn connected to anything?

All I know is what I read in the "LASERJET PROFESSIONAL P1560 and
P1600 Printer series User Guide":

      https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-laserjet-pro-p1606-printer-series/4110408/model/4110409/manu...

      http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01714998

But what I see there is:

The HP LaserJet Professional P1600 printer series can connect to
networks through the HP internal networking port.

If your printer is connected to your LAN using an Ethernet
connection, then I see no use at all for ReadySHARE to communicate with
it.  (You _could_ connect it to your router using a USB connection, and
then you might want to drag the ReadySHARE printer-sharing lameware into
the picture, but why would a sane person do that?)

Re: Readyshare for HP

Thanks for the reply. I have been using the printer on USB so long I forgot it had a network port. Now I am using it as a network printer and I will promptly forget Readyshare!
