Renew SSL certificate on R8000P
On my Netgear Router R8000P with the current firmware, the SSL certificate to connect the admin frontend is expired. I can't find any documentation to renew the (self-signed) SSL certificate.
How can I renew this SSL certificate on the Router?
Best regards
Sven

What error or what are you seeing that you think needs to be fixed?

Re: Renew SSL certificate on R8000P
The issue is the non valid message (certificate is no longer valid) in the browser, if I want to open the management website of the router with https://….
I‘m looking for the solution to renew the selfsigned certificate of the router’s management website.

Which browser? How are you accessing the browser graphical user interface (GUI)?
Probably a browser thing. You don't need a certificate to get at the GUI. It is local.
Browser makers are getting ever more "helpful" as they try to protect us from ourselves.
Try a different browser.

Re: Renew SSL certificate on R8000P
That‘s on each browser because the certificate is invalid. From security prospektive a valid certificate (for a secure connection with https) is needed.
The other point is, that I have to renew the certificate on the router because my browser setting allows only secure connection - for each browser.
Therefor, the question is not, how to connect to the routers admin GUI insecurely, but how can the certificate on the router be renewed?
Thanks for the help.
