Reolink ftp to R7000 USB

I've setup the USB sharing with readyshare -  local ftp without password

I can access no problem with browser

I have tried all combinations of the URL but the Reolink FTP connections always fails  :-(

View from the browser:

readyshare-2.jpg

Browser also works without "/shares":

readyshare-3.jpg

Reolink support suggested this syntax for the url but it didn't work either:

Hi buckyman,

Are you using the Reolink client for local connection only or over internet? If it is over internet, enable the FTP(via internet).

Re: Reolink ftp to R7000 USB

Hi JamesGL

It's local.

It would be nice if the Reolink could access network drives but it only has FTP.

I am still not having any success with different variations of the FTP URL, always getting connection error.

Yet my browser can FTP no problem, as shown by the screen shots

My next move is to see if there is an IP associated with the readyshare, like 192.168.1.?, do you know if this is the case?

My recollection is that it's the IP address of the router (e.g. 192.168.1.1)

Yes you're right - 192.168.1.1 is the FTP address

FTP://192.168.1.1 works on my browser but it does not work on the Reolink  :-(

Did you try using USB_Storage/ as the upload directory (without the shares/ part)?

Also, did you try uploading from the PC?  A freeware client like FileZilla might be a better test than using your browser.
