Was having a problem with mu NightHawk router. i contacted IT and was to to reset the router and change the SSDI and password which did not solve the problem. So I am wondering if there is a way to reset to the original settings. Thanks for any help

Re: Reset to Default Settings
1. what router do you have? (hint, the label will have the model number on it)
2. what firmware is on it?
3. what modem/gateway is it connected to?
4. what actual issue are you having? Details help as a reset might not be whats needed to fix the issue

Re: Reset to Default Settings
My HP printer will not connect to the wireless network. I have added all the new settings that were changed though it still will not connect. The printer worked fine before every thing was reset. My computer does connect to wireless on same network

Re: Reset to Default Settings
there isn't a R700.
maybe you mean the R7000?
Or R7000P?
And what firmware is on it?
And looking at the gateway helps as double nat's can cause issues.
Details are key to helping. If its a new device, you can always contact support as its free for the first 90 days of purchase. It might be faster versus me trying to drag details from you.
To get a hold of support. Click on "MyNetgear" at the top.
Register an account (or login) and then the device.
From there you can start the support process. Keep in mind that its only free for the first 90 days.

That question could be better phrased as:
"What is the modem/gateway, if there is one, that connects your router to the Internet?"
The "gateway" term is usually reserved for modems with added bits, such as voice-phone support. But sometimes there is no modem/gateway.
I say "if there is one" because These days fibre optics are reaching the home and they have an Optical Network Terminator (ONT).
