Resetting router extender AC1200

I got new router and modem from cable cO.. Has aNew password .. Old wIfi connection in wifi list won't work with either old or new password. . I can't delete old wifi list FYI start new connections. Does not recognize Netgear.Exe As aConnection. . How do iSet this up?

    What model NG router are you referring too? R or RAX###?

    You're connecting an extender? 

    What model? 

    What router are you connecting it to? 

    What method of setup are you using? The WPS push button method or using the installation assistant?

    Where is it failing in the process? Your description leaves a bit to be desired. 

    Did you factory reset the extender by pushing and holding the reset for 7-15 seconds while powered on? Then follow the install guide? 

    There's a support site with access to manuals, firmware, install guides, etc.
    Go to https://www.netgear.com/support/
    Type in your model number and from there it'll take you to the above.
    Its a great resource to start with.
