After a year with R7000, suffering through many builds and ddwrt performance disappointment I mwas ready to go with something else. I didn't need the latest in AC such as 3200/2400, just wanted something stable and decent performance. My choice fell on Dir–880L, it was a good deal and reviews were decent. Two main things have improved latency when browsing/streaming and 2.4 ghz band coverage. Firmware is stable and nice simple UI. Good enough for me until the next big thing.
