Router does not turn on
Hi - After a nearby lightning strike, my router will no longer turn on. The power light briefly and weakly turns n, then shuts off. Tested the power cord and it is fine. Is it fried?

If your test of the power adapter could distinguish "fine" from "not
file", then it sure sounds that way. (A no-load voltmeter test can't
detect every possible problem.)

Re: Router does not turn on
If the power brick tests ok it sure sounds like the lightening got it. Happens to the best of us. I have my modem and router on a UPS, but that is not a guarantee that bad things won't happen. Since this is a r7000, it is upgrade time anyway. May I suggest a r7800. Works well and will not break the bank.
