Router does not work with laptop

My router is accepted by everything but my laptop. Message says security key incorrect. Do I have to reset it

What laptop is it? 

What firmware is on the router? 
Are you trying to connect the laptop using wps or using an actual password? 

Have you tried going in and "forgetting" the network and reconnecting?

This can be down to Windows protecting you from new networks.

Try running "Troubleshoot Network" in Windows.
