Re: Router say I have no internet but I do

Set your Hitron router/modem in bridge mode and let the NG router do the work, otherwise you're behind a double NAT which can complicate things

Routing: NETGEAR R7800 - Voxel Firmware 1.0.2.80SF
Switching: 2x NETGEAR 8-ports (GS108v4) / 1x NETGEAR 16-ports (JGS516v2)
Desktop: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - Server: Intel Core i7-7700K - NAS: Intel Pentium G4400 - Cruncher: Intel Core i5-7400

Not a very detailed description of anything.  Has it a model number?

> [...] with 5 wan ips [...]

So, your ISP gives you a block of eight public IP addresses (of which
you can use five)?  Why?  How many of your systems/devices do you want
to connect directly to the Internet?

> [...] my nighthawk [...]

> Model: C7500|Nighthawk X4-AC3200 WiFi Cable Modem Router

Is that "Cable Modem Router" your "my nighthawk"?

> [...] is connected to this modem with a static IP typed in [...]

What, exactly, did you connect to what, exactly?  Where, exactly, did
you type in "a static IP [address]"?  (One of your five usable public IP
addresses, I assume?)

> [...] I have internet on everything [...]

What is your "everything", and where is it connected?

> [...] but the router says it's not connected and has no internet [...]

Where, exactly, does it say what, exactly?

If your "the router" is that C7500, then that could be because it's a
"Cable Modem Router", and you're not using it as a cable modem+router,
and it sees no Internet connection on its (co-axial-cable) WAN/Internet
port.

If you connected a LAN port on the C7500 to a LAN port on your
(unspecified) "a hitron router from my isp", then you're using the C7500
as a (de facto, badly configured) wireless access point, not as a

router.

Typical Netgear consumer-grade equipment is intended for use with a
single ISP-supplied IP address, not a block of eight, so, if you don't
know what you're doing, or what you want to do, then you can expect to
have some trouble in this situation.

> Set your Hitron router/modem in bridge mode [...]

I'd guess that it's probably pretty close to that now.

> [...] and let the NG router do the work, [...]

If "the NG router" is a C7500 (or similar), then that's not possible,
because a C7500 lacks an Ethernet WAN/Internet port.  It might be useful
as a wireless access point, but I doubt that connecting it directly to
the Internet in that mode would be wise.

"unable" is not a useful description of anything.

> i also have not nat settings on it

If you have a block of eight public IP addresses, then I doubt that
your (unspecified) "a hitron router from my isp" is doing NAT.

Please feel free to answer any of the more meaningful questions

above.

So, your router is an R7500?

> my speedtest wont work on my router [...]

"won't work" is not a useful problem description.  It does not say
what you did.  It does not say what happened when you did it.  As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.

> [...] becouse of this

How did you determine that this is the reason?

On my D7000[v1] (V1.0.1.74_1.0.1), the BASIC > Home page says
"Internet STATUS: GOOD", and I've never seen

ADVANCED > Setup > QoS Setup : Speedtest

work.  All I have ever gotten is:

Attempting to detect uplink bandwidth . Please Wait

followed, after a few seconds, by:

The Speedtest fails to detect the bandwidth, please check your
Internet connection or try again later.

Netgear router firmware has bugs.  If you have any kind of warranty or

support agreement, then I'd complain to Netgear about this one.

> [...] any decice connected to my nighthawk has internet and works fine

   Things could be much worse.
