Router security with eufy
I have been looking at a eufy security camera system. My understanding is that installation requires that their system controller be connected directly to the router with an Ethernet cable. This seems unusual to me. Is there any software or firmware on the router that is vulnerable to being modified/corrupted in this situation?

Re: Router security with eufy
No.
Ask the camera mfr about how there system is setup and work. Some systems may required a ethernet connection for video.
Might look into a different camera system as well.

Re: Router security with eufy
Most of the Eufy cameras use the hub to connect back to.
That's what allows them to not need a subscription services to supply the same AI/storage/etc.
they have a couple odd cameras that operate without the hub but most use it.
I've set one up at a couple relatives and they've worked great.
