Received email from Netgear re important security firmware update. Directed to instruction page. Downloaded app to cell phone. Endured changing password and establishing admin password procedures. Instructed app to search for updates. The app says there are no updates available and lists my current firmware version as V1.0.10.90_10.2.90 Is this the new version? Not according to the original email which cites Latest version as v1.0.11.106 Now what should I do?

Re: Security Firmware update for R7000
You should NOT use apps to install something critical as a firmware update. Use a wired computer and the router's GUI at http://192.168.1.1

Re: Security Firmware update for R7000
Thanks, Darren. You were the only bright spot in this whole ordeal which took several days, 111 views of my post, and hours of my time. The netgear app was useless. The online site couldn't find the firmware update either. The first attempt at uploading the file you sent didn't work. I gave up for a couple days and achieved success only because I made a last try today. It shouldn't be this difficult.
