Have a Wireless Lorex security camera system. They recently uodated the software and I can no longer use the app on my Iphone to see the cameras. I had Lorex try to help but they say they can not open a port on the router to allow it to happen. They said contact Netgear for help. Not crazy about spending $ with Netgear for something I should not have to but striking out. I am however able to view the cameras from the desk monitor plugged into the Lorex system. Any suggestions? Thank you

Which "the software"? Which "the app"? Is your (unspecified) "my
Iphone" connected to the wireless network of your (unspecified) "the
router", or to some external network?
"can no longer" is not a useful problem description. It does not say
what you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.

Which "the router"? Model? Firmware version? What, exactly, did
"they say" needs to be done?
