I loaded the new beta firmware last week and QOS has been working great for the past 4 days now. Finally have my expensive router features back! Let’s hope it stays that way!!

As you can see in the picture, I'm on Beta version 1.0.5.15 and I'm still getting "Start QoS failed." Any help, or anyone else experiencing this?

Hi,

 

i installed the beta version from the netgear page and at least fixed the issue about QoS failing to start but on my case when I have QoS enable the router reboots every often (like every 2 hrs or so); so its the same problem I experienced before the firmware that broke the whole thing. 

any clue about what the router reboots? I can confirm QoS is the culprit because is the only thing that I change when I start facing the random reboots

I got an email the other day announcing v1.0.5.14 firmware being available for the router (normal "hey there's been an update" email). Has anyone tried this firmware out yet? Is QOS working if so? Or best to stick with the custom beta?

I got the beta installed, the QoS seems to work but Traffic meter is not working now.

Same issues here. After the last update , I couldn't use  those mentioned features at all.  And it's really frustrating to see that NETGEAR  isn't taking any steps to fix this issue . I have been waiting for an update with a fix and it's  been a while already. It's becoming more frustrating  in a time like this COVID-19 Pandemic where we are all locked down and fully rely on our internet services and at this  time this router is keep disappointing us for no reason.

 

 I hope NETGEAR will  release a  fix soon and if they doesn't I'm  convinced to switch to other  brands  after this COVID-19 period is over and I'm not sure of returning to this brand anytime soon.  Smiley Sad

When will QOS start working again. R9000 and hasnt been working since end of last year.

Hi

Have the same issue , with this router

After opening a case with netgear, they said they will come back to me....

Don't hold your breath , I think one of the solution would be to Flash the firmware

but this could be tricky and can result into "Bricking" your router , I'm debating with myself if

I want to risk it ,

I was able to start the QoS with the firmware update but I still doesn't have the QoS rule button to create the QoS Rules,
