Strange issue, trying to access my own domain. Nighthawk D7000

I'm hosting my own web server. It goes from domain name, to cloudflare, to my static public IP, to my Netgear Nighthawk D7000 modem/router, to nginx and letsencrypt (linuxserver docker swag container) and both ports 80 and 443 are forwarded from outside to my server.
The strange part is that I can access my website securely from outside my local network via the domain name, but I can't access it via the domain from with my local network on my desktop computer or my phone.
I'm lost why this is. Any help would be appreciated, thanks
It has stopped working properly since I started using the new router

I know of none.
Considering that the problem was first reported about three years
ago, and Netgear's responses have ranged from "it _does_ work" to "it's
not _supposed_ to work", and Netgear has generally lost interest in DSL
products, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for Netgear to fix this
firmware bug.

"can't" is not a useful problem description. As usual, showing
actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error messages, LED
indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or
interpretations.

What was the old router?

D7000[v1] or D7000v2? Look for "Model" on the product label.
Firmware version? Connected to what?
Let me guess: It's actually a D7000v2.

The old router was a tplink vr900.
By "can't" I mean I get a message in firefox saying "unable to connect".
My new router is D7000v2, firmware version: V1.0.0.66_1.0.2
Is there a way to get nat loopback working in this router?

For the record, to be clear, the problem is not with the domain name;
using the external/public IP address (to which the domain name is
resolved) suffers the same failure.
The problem is the lack of NAT loopback, without which, using the
external/public IP address (explicitly or implicitly) from the router's
LAN fails.
