I moved my USB 2.0 WD drive which I was previously sharing from a very old Mac Mini to the USB 2.0 port on the R8000. Backing up and drive access is super slow. I left the backup going all night over 5Ghz with a link speed 1Gbps and have made 40GB backed up. This is considerably slower than connected to the remote drive on the Mac Mini and at the moment the backup does not seem to be progressing 😞
One of the justifications for getting the router was to be able to shut down some of my other systems!
Historically seems every USB question on bandwidth on router is not great at all. I think you will find that in entire forum with any model that has Readyshare USB port on router.
Usually it is not device wireless or wired connected but some throughput internally in the router to USB port is not going fast enough.
