Trouble turning on mobile hotspot

I have Ac797s mobile hotspot and it's been working well. I used it yesterday, and it worked normal. After using it, I turned it off (it still had battery). However, today before I tried to turn it on it had an orange light, like when it's being charged though it wasn't. I tried to turn it on, and it didn't. I tried several times, sometimes holding the power button longer, but it didn't work. I plugged the device and waited for an hour, and then tried to turn it on, but again it didn't work. I removed the battery and inserted it back, I proceded to turn it on and it did (it restarted twice or so before it turned on completely).

So, for future reference, what should I do if this were to happen again? And what's the reason for which this happened?
