Turn off the 2.4 band

I would like to turn off my 2.4 band so i dont waste bandwith and dont see conflics in my system. I have turned off broadcasting but it is still sending signal. Does anyone know how to do this?

But i guess I'm curious why you think the 2.4ghz is wasting bandwidth or causing conflicts? 

It doesn't conflict with the 5ghz and only uses bandwidth if something is connected to it and actively using it. 

Unless you're running another router? Or live in a congested area where there's a lot of 2.4ghz signals and just want to avoid congestion for others?
