USB Hard Drive tu be used for media files
This may have been asked before so applogise if it has.
I have a seagate external hard drive connected to the R8000 router. On one of the network ports I have connected Samsung Blue Ray/Smart player HTS F5500.
I have my movies, music and photos stored on the hard drive and can access them from my laptop and PC but cannot access and play them on the blue ray player unless I unplug the hard drive from router and plug in direct to the player.
Please, Is there a way I can access the hard drive via the router with the player so I do not have to keep swapping over?
Thank you in advance.

No
And use the right tool for the right job. Get a NAS and store all your stuff on there. Then all your devices will be able to make use of it. Routers are not meant to be media servers despite what the marketing people would like you to believe
