USB disk not detected by Router

USB drive is not detected by the router. I have tried two different drives in both USB ports and neither are detected. The usb lights both flash when the drive is first plugged in but then they go out. The Readyshare status in the GUI shows No USB Drive. Do I have to enable the USB ports before connecting a drive? thanks in advance. DJ

Which USB disk? How is it formatted?

Did you read this?

Re: USB disk not detected by Router

Is the USB drive a powered or portable one? Portable ones draw the power via the USB port and there might not be enough power available for the drive?

Under the ADVANCED tab, ADVANCES SETTINGS there is a USB selection, but that should be checked YES by default. If NO, either set it to YES or add drive to the allowed list.

What is the DRIVES make and model?

Does either one work if only ONE at a time is connected? If YES, there is a power problem.
