Unable to login to R7000 router settings wiped out due to power failure
I am using fiber optic broadband which goes to my ISP modem and then through the router. After intermittent power failure, the settings were reset. As the router cannot automatically detect the VLAN settings of the ISP, I had to result to using the provided dlink modem router for the Internet connection. From there, the router is connected to lan 1 which then shares the WiFi to all other devices.
The problem is that making a connection this way, I loose all ability to configure the router settings. I cannot even login to the r7000 even though I am connected to the router and disabled the WiFi of the dlink. Tried a wired connection and wireless connection through app or the routerlogin.net website. Still fail to connect. Does anyone know why or how to connect back to the router?

Not a useful description of either the ISP or the connecting device.

And you can't set them manually?

Not a very detailed description of that device, either.

Which port on the R7000 is connected "to lan 1" on what?
> [...] I cannot even login to the r7000 [...]
"cannot" is not a useful problem description. It does not say what
you did. It does not say what happened when you did it. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.
> [...] Still fail to connect. [...]
Actual error message or other behavior?
Potentially helpful: Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your
model number, and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read.
Look for "Troubleshoot" and "Cannot Log In to the Router".

Has that anything to do with your equipment?
