Using a D7000 with an ethernet Internet handoff instead of DSL
I have been using a Netgear D7000 as my DSL modem and WiFi router for awhile. I just upgraded my DSL connection and have a new DSL modem. I also have a Palo Alto firewall I want to put between my DSL modem and my WiFi network. Can I use the D7000 as just a WiFi router with an ethernet handoff from the DSL modem (through the firewall - but I can use a v-wire or bump in the line configuration) and ignore the DSL part?

Hello p-trick
Yes you can if you plug the modem into the wan port of the D7000 it becomes just a router.
