VLAN in AP Mode?
Hey,
I want to use the R7000 as an access point only (I already have a router). I am interested in using the guest network and passing it as a over a tagged VLAN to the main router (e.g. I will tag main traffic with 1 or untagged, and tag guest traffic with 2). Is this possible with Genie/Stock Firmware? Or would I have to use DD-WRT, Tomato, etc? Thanks.
-Eric

Re: VLAN in AP Mode?
You would have to use 3rd party FW for this.

Re: VLAN in AP Mode?
Ok... so either Tomato or DD-WRT then?... any preference of one over the other?

Re: VLAN in AP Mode?
Tomato variants just came out.
DD-WRT is far more mature.
DD-WRT is far more mature.
