This is my new post to get ideas to obtain the best possible reception in my home in Queensland, Australia.
My home is a large home, single storey, brick veneer Colourbond roof (Tin), and with a surface of about 400 square meters.
It consist of 12 different living areas. The ceilings are 2700Mm high.
My devices are, 3 rooms with smart TV's coupled to 3 Panasonic Blu Ray recorder/players.
Home theatre includes, 1 smart 4K TV, 2 Panasonic Blu Ray recorder/players, 1 LG, CD video /recorder. they are connected and controlled by my 4K Onkyo smart amp receiver. All all connected to WIFI by passing throught a Netgear GS208-100AUS switch and an ethernet cable to the Nighthawk X6 router.
I also have1 Windows 10 PC, 1Windows 7 Laptop, 3 connected andoid tablets, 2 smart phones.
When I purchased this property about five years ago, the service provider(NBN) have told me that, as far as my mobile device are concerned I am in what is called a Black spot; meaning poor reception.
In attempting to resolve my initial concern with both my internet and my mobile WIFI, I was given all sorts of advices by the telecommunication company, my ISP provider.
Since the reception was continuously not improving I then invested in the Netgear Nighthawk R 8000 X6 which I connected after the ISP modem; still poor reception with the mobiles but OK with internet.
After further enquiries advice was given to add on a WI Extender to improve the mobile phones and tablets.
I then purchased the NightHawk X7000 AC 1900.
It is still NO GO and barely one intermittent bar on the mobiles and tablets (Samsung Galaxy S9 + and Samsung Tab S6 continously connected)
Now that I have invested in security cameras for my home the situation is no better with all the equipment purchased but, so far for the now faulty X7000.
What am I supposed to do to get it right .....PPPPlllleeeeaassee!!! 😒😒😒
Sorry for all this probably boring text but, with respect, perhaps someone will have a solution.
All are most welcome.
Re: WIFI RECEPTION
Too many options for anyone to suggest a "best" solution.
This is one place to start:
Plug in your needs. See what comes up and check around here for tales of woe or glee.
