WNDR4300V2 Speed capability
Our internet service provider just installed a new modem, and said that our router may struggle with the 200mbps download speed.
Our router WNDR4300V2 is a bit older, but is still a gigabit routher, so I want to confirm that it can handle the download speeds. Anyone can confirm for me?

Re: WNDR4300V2 Speed capability
Your service provide is half right.
Half because it should handle the 200mbps wired speeds fine. (unless you're using qos, parental controls, traffic monitoring, access control. leave those disabled)
You won't get anywhere close to it on 2.4ghz but might on 5ghz.
I don't have a router that old anymore but the wireless will be its weak point.

You're not out anything to try it and see how well it works for you.
If it doesn't, then upgrade. If it meets all your requirements, then you're good.

Plemans, Thank you for your reply. Since our main machines are hardwired, I think we are fine there. I will keep tabs on the wireless.
Thanks again
