Dear Admin: Please take some time to look at the "pinned" posts section and change to keep only the latest approved firmware release for each model. This will help greatly to avoid discussions getting fragmented into numerous threads for the same problem. Examples: a limited release is not completely approved, the v1.0.5.44 has been withdrawn, etc. Thank you for your time.

Agreed.  Netgear's approach to it's firmware and communication of same has reached the nonsensical on these forums.  Without the contribution of the community these forums are useless.  The currect state of quality firmware updates will steer me from further purchases of Netgear products.  It was quality that brought me to Netgear and lack thereof that will steer me away.

Some time back when 1.0.6.28 came out for the R7000, it was asked to unpin the beta FW thread and make 1.0.6.28 the pinned thread.

Neither happened.
