Re: Why cnnaot downgrade the firmware?

Not sure but I don't know what version you now have? The last one, .60, was PULLED from the Auto D/L site... and NG probably removed the file and NOT the catalog entry...

Re: Why cnnaot downgrade the firmware?

Have you tried to? Auto-Update which uses the router interface uses the server and there is NO UPDATE on it that is newer.

Downgrades you MUST do manually. Go to Support, enter the router model, and then DOWNLOADS. At the bottom of the list is PRIOR VERSIONS. Open that up, use the + to see them, select the one you want, d/l it (and read the README to) and then UNZIP it. From the ROUTER UPDATE page browse to find the unzipped file (.CHK extension) and then update.

"cannot" is not a useful problem description.  It does not say what
you did.  It does not say what happened when you did it.  As usual,
showing actual actions with their actual results (error messages, LED
indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or
interpretations.

Re: Why cnnaot downgrade the firmware?

What versions did you d/l?

What was the error for each or are ALL the same?

Detail EXACTLY what steps you took to d/l, unzip and what files you got, and how you tried to install them and where from please.

Re: Why cnnaot downgrade the firmware?

I don't know why you can't do older? Should be no reason that I can think of.

Merlin, better of checking HERE.

Go to the SUPPORT page for the R7000 and look at the D/L's, The latest is on the top and ALL prior releases are at the bottom of the list under PRIOR VERSIONS.

I have never had problems going back. Please detail what you did, where you got the file from, where you UNZIP'ed to, and then what you used to install it. Screen captures would help here.

3rd Party, check with them.

I have the same question like you.I can only change FW for 3 version.
1.0.9.34
1.0.9.42
1.0.9.60
Finally,I succeed.By using nmrpflash to upgrade or downgrade.
You can try it,too.
