I installed a Netgear router, AC2600, and a Newgear modem, CM1100, to replace my old Spectrum modem and Netgear R6300 router. When I hardwire a computer to the modem, I can get to the internet. However, the router does not get an internet connection. Did I overlook something for the router. I does work prefectly with the Spectrum modem. Does anyone have any idea what I can do?

Even through the cm1100 has 2 ethernet connections, unless your isp supports multiple public ip addresses (most don't) or your router supports wan aggregation (r7450 doesn't), only 1 port is usable.
So make sure its only the router plugged into the modem.
power off the modem and router and disconnect everything from both.
connection coax to modem.
power modem on and leave it for 3-4 minutes.
then connect ethernet to wan port on router.
power up router. give it the same 3-4 minutes to fully boot.
then see if it works.
