WiFi Won’t work
Re: WiFi Won’t work
That amber LED means the router is not connected to the internet. Had you not reset the router, simply restarting the modem or device in front of the R6400 might have resolved the issue
Sorry you don't want to troubleshoot. We will need you will need to answer a few questions for us so we can help.
Who is the internet provider?
What device is in front of the R6400?
If the connection does not require authentication, (cable) for example, thats good, easy.
However, you will still need to use Genie or a computer to perform set up (once) agan like you did when the router was initially installed.
By resetting the router, you have (erased, removed, reset > Pick one) the routers ability to connect to your modem and serve internet to your home. Should be easy to fix.
Perform set up again. Tell the router what its connecting to. Configure your wireless SSID names to what you used before, security, etc and you should be good to go.
Here is the R6400's Quick Start Guide in case you are not familar with the process or would like it for reference.
Of course we are here too, if you run into any issues.
***EDIT, seems you might have it sorted.
