Wireless (only) loss on R8500 router - cannot resolve issue

I have an Arris SURFboard SB6141 modem (cable)
Nighthawk R8500 router
Very standard configuration.
A month (or more?) ago, I noticed I’m failing to load webpages from my iPhone. Wife noticed the same thing from her phone. Reboot the router, and it comes back.
Go off Wi-Fi, go back on, and it works as well.
It’s sporadic. I believe it’s only affecting the wireless. Wired connections never show a problem.
I’ve reset the router to factory defaults, and started over. Same result.
Firmware is current, and is V1.0.2.144
I use OpenDNS for DNS servers. I’ve changed to other options to see if this resolved the issue, but it hasn’t.
My *only* guess is, something is wrong with the current Nighthawk firmware (and the last one). I noticed the issues start sometime after two firmware updates ago.
Am I able to *downgrade* to an older firmware? Does anybody know where a list of version #’s is for the R8500 firmware? If I can downgrade, I’ll go back two versions and see if this resolves the issue.

I started going back to older firmware versions, and then testing when I’d go backwards.
Finally, I got to V1.0.2.122.
Been on this firmware for a few days, and all of my issues are resolved.
What the heck happened after this firmware version that would cause me the issues I mentioned in the OP?
I would prefer to be on the latest version firmware, but I’m staying here until Netgear gets a fix or is able to troubleshoot.
I’ll prolly email their support my findings.

Only one way to find out.
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads. (For older versions, under Firmware and Software
Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".) Find the kit(s).
Download the kit(s) you want. Read the "Release Notes" file for
instructions. (In the User Manual, look for "firmware", and,
especially, for a topic like "Manually Upload Firmware to the Router".)
When that fails because of a deficient User Manual, try:
After loading older firmware, you might need to do a settings reset
and manual reconfiguration.

Have you tried playing around with wifi bands and channels?
Maybe the neighbours are running something new on the wifi front that gets in the way.
