X10 R9000 5Ghz speed down problem

I received the router two weeks ago.

It worked fine, very good. But its 5Ghz band has been in trouble for several days.

both wired and 2.4GHz are working very well. and, Netgear Genie normally recognizes the 5GHz band.

But if I do a speed test, it's only 40~50Mbps.(from NAS to equipment(iphone6s,LG G5, laptop))

Before this problem, it had a speed of 200 Mbps ~ 300 Mbps.

I did not change any settings. The same is true when I turn my router off.

Before I used x6 r8000, This situation did not occur even once.

Re: X10 R9000 5Ghz speed down problem

Does this depend on the distance from the router?

Remember, 5GHz has a shorter range than 2.4GHz.

How can your devices connect when the router is turned off? Is there a competing source somewhere?

Maybe I have misinterpreted what is going on.

Just another user.

Re: X10 R9000 5Ghz speed down problem

You may want to change the channel, because there may be other networks interferring with it. I had configured my R9000, with the same config settings as my Asus RT-AC5300 and the 5ghz was set at 40mhz, although it was working and I was getting good speeds, occasioanlly I was getting dropped or static over my iPhone wifi calling. Last nite switched to 161ghz and it seems to be okay. I will continue to test today and the rest of the week.

Re: X10 R9000 5Ghz speed down problem

I'm noticing a D-Link DWA-192 AC 1300Mb adapter will not maintain a connection when traffic starts going thru it while connected to the r9000. It will connect ok, however won't maintain. I was using channel 48, will try channel 149 and 161.
