X6-R8000 in continuous restart loop
Hi, can someone help me?
The Nighthawk R8000 is in continuous restart loop.
It happened all of a sudden, may I know what is wrong with it and how to fix it?
I have tried contacting the local netgear service centre, but they are unwilling to service the router as it was not bought here (in this country).
Your advise is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Re: X6-R8000 in continuous restart loop
Have you tried a factory reset? Push and hold reset for up to 30 seconds while its powered on.
You can try recoving it with tftp or nmrpflash.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

Take us through what you see when this happens.
What do the LEDs on the front look like?
Does the power LED ever get to show "white"?
I'd also check the power adapter. These things can go wrong. If you have a spare with the same output, try that.
