X8 R8500 The router does not work. Before updating firmware, it works well, but ...

The router does not work. Before updating firmware, it works well, but does not work at all after firmware update.

Operates for ping 1 to 2 seconds and no longer works.
No Wi-Fi.
Wired networks are not connected.

  • Amber Power LED
  • Power LED stays amber

1. Hardware initialization and factory initialization (3030 / 30) failure
2. tftp2 failed. (Changing network settings) Set stick ip, ping not connecting.


What should I do?
My serial number is (4P516A7RA07DF). 
I'll be waiting for some good news.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to RMA the device if you're outside the US.

You will need a person that's located in the US to do the RMA for you but then the person needs to have the actual defective unit to send it in for replacement.

Did you put it in recovery mode and tried tftp2 and failed? Or did you just try tftp2 without recovery mode?

It has not failed in recovery mode yet.
Unable to connect because the firmware update did not work and tried to connect to tf tp2, but did not connect to the network.

Did you assign static IP address on the PC?

Of course, I put a legitimate IP on the computer.
Only about 2 to 3 seconds of connecting to the machine will cause disconnection. 
There is no longer any connection.
You can not use all methods, such as (30 - 30 - 30, factory defaults, tftp. tftp2- ), etc.

Then the unit is already faulty.  I suggest that you contact support to get it replaced.

I want to be replaced in U.S.A but now I am in Korea.
R800 is also unavailable to the United States because it is in Korea.

I can't go to the United States during the repair period.
Is there any possibility that there will be an exchange of R8500 in South Korea?
The serial number is (4P516A7RA07DF).

Can I get an RMA then?
Serial number is already registered. 
Unable to receive RMA because it is not registered as a sigillar number.
If you give us RMA, we will ship it to Netgear Repair Centre in Korea.

You can only get an RMA in the US. You can send the device to a relative in the US and he'll be the one to RMA it for you.

So I want to get an RMA.
I am currently in Korea, but I can ship goods from Korea to America.
Also, if you send me to this U.S. address, I will deliver it to you here.
Please reply if you need anything to receive the RMA.
