Zmodo Pan and Tilt

I have a Zomodo Pan and tilt wireless IP camera. I am able to install the camera onto the network with out any problem and Im also able to view the camera on the network without difficulty. When Im out and about remotley I am not able to view the camera. It tells me connection timed out. This camera worked just fine on an old Netgear router and I had no problems with viewing remotely, once I upgraded to the Nighthawk thats when my problems began. I tried makeing it an DMZ, I assigned it its own IP and have added into QOS. Still I have had no success any sugestions?

Welcome to the community, @Roknroll91

Do you remember setting up Port Forwarding on your router?

Remove the DMZ and configure Port Forwarding. You must get the proper port numbers that your camera is using.

See the link below for instructions.

Port Forwarding to an IP camera on a NETGEAR genie router

By the way, what's the brand of your modem?

What's the model of your previous NETGEAR router?

Currently using Netgear NighHawk R6900 AC 1900

The old router was a Netgear WGT624 Wireless

What's the brand and model of the modem?

You might have a double NAT problem.

Re: Zmodo Pan and Tilt

As far as I can tell there is no modem. It's a fiber optic line that comes into the house and all the access stuff is setup on my router. Does there have to be a modern cause the phone company never mentioned one and they set the router settings.

Re: Zmodo Pan and Tilt

Will it be possible for you to connect a PC directly to the main source of Internet?

If you do, kindly check your IP address by going into the command prompt and type ipconfig.

Let us know what IP addresses you have.

Yes there is at least a modem, but it may be a router/modem.

Re: Zmodo Pan and Tilt

Accoding to the phone company the connection comes straight from them to my Netgear Router. Im reluctant to share my IP address as to that has led to problems with another family member.
