ac1900 r7000 cannot reset..

so i have xfinity internet w the 75mbps+ speeds. i wanted to try to get better connection and performance w another router.

i bridged the xfinity and ran the nighthawk but got the same performace which i wasnt happy with. im new to this whole thing so i bridged the

nighthawk on accident and now it wont let me reset it. i held the reset in the back but it does not reset it to pull up on my network. i would not think i have to bridge the xfinity to get the nighthawk to popup again. im having a hard time with this.

please help.  it is not a new one. its from 2015. what ever info you need to help me out i can try my best. all i want is max performance w this nighthawk. when i did have it hooked up for half a day my speeds were the same as the stock xfinity setup. i thought it would get better. but did not. please help me figure out how to reset modem so i can try this thing again. if not ill have to return it to the guy.

thanks

I don't know what that means.  You might try disconnecting the R7000
from everything (except its power supply), and then doing the reset.
Then, connect a computer to it with an Ethernet cable, and follow the
set-up instructions in the User Manual.

Visit http://www.netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and
look for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Read.

If you still have trouble, then report what you did, and what
happened when you did it.  Leave out the colorful interpretations of
what it all means ("bridged the nighthawk", "pull up on my network", and
so on).

"I can not" is not a useful problem description.  It does not say
what you did.  It does not say what happened when you did it.  As usual,
showing actual actions with their actual results (error messages, ...)
can be more helpful than vague descriptions or interpretations.

If you get back in, what's the firmware version?

> And is extremley slower all around my house.

Are you talking about wireless connections?  Define "extremley
slower".  Are wired connections better?
