Re: any new info or update to new firmware ?

Hi @01R Our QA team is still thoroughly testing the firmware and will definitely release it as soon as it's ready.

Thank you for your patience as we ensure that everything will be working as it should once the new firmware is posted.

If you're interested in testing the beta firmware, you may download it here.

Feel free to give us any feedback you'll encounter with it.

Re: any new info or update to new firmware ?

This all happens even after trying out the beta firmware?

Can you send me copy of your configuration file?

By the way, kindly set the default login (admin/password). In this way, our engineers will be able to open and see what could be causing it.

Use dropbox or any file sharing site for me to download it.

Thanks!

Ahh what the hell, I'll give it a go and provide feedback when able.

EDIT: May I suggest a new sticky thread for feedback ?

Can you share any other link sharing. Not sure Dropbox is downloading very slow. Netgear ftp may be better though.

Re: any new info or update to new firmware ?

Downloaded but I will wait to install it  until a changelog is provided. Honestly is not serious to provide a beta link without any trace of information.

- AP Netgear R7000 (Stock FW)

is-ipv6-faster-than-ipv4

Are you forced to use ipv6 when playing on your xbox?  As the link illustrates, there is no speed advantage over ipv4....in fact, there generally is a 9 times higher risk of connection issues when using ipv6! For your information!   ;-)

Re: any new info or update to new firmware ?

ya so the netgear teams thats working on the r7000 firmware should just remove the whole ip6 support and make the router work n be faster in ipv4 cuz they sure dont know what they are doin with ipv6 stuff they are clueless

Re: any new info or update to new firmware ?

At this point if you want a router that has real working IPv6 then you will have to get something other then Netgear. Many people including myself has tried to work with Nethear support to get the issue resolved with absolutely no success it's as if they just don't care. I moved on and picked up an Asus router and everything works as it should no more IPv6 headaches. When it comes to Netgear and firmwares it's a huge thumbs down.

Here's another link of the beta firmware.

Regarding the changelog, it will be posted once we release the official firmware.

@01R Kindly register your device for us to create a case to follow-up on that IPv6 problem.

Re: any new info or update to new firmware ?

DoS = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack

Do you host a gaming server or homepage by any chance?

I don't know if your perhaps eluding to the error message above is a behavier fault of your unit.  But DoS attacks generally happens when users/computers outside your network tries to gain acces by "spamming" your network with 1000's of connection attempts at the same time. This behavier triggers the built-in firewall of your router, if you have the DoS function enabled(it normally is enabled by default, I believe).
