First things first. I don't enjoy setting up tech stuff. :smileyfrustrated:
I downloaded the Netgear Nighthawk app on Play store to my Samsung phone. When i open it on my phone, I get a screen that says:
Issues connecting with "netgear ..."
Go to settings>WiFi and Join your router's wifi network.
Followed by these choices in boxes: "still having issues?" "try again" "New system setup" and "connect via anywhere access."
I am not having issues connecting. I just want to get to the dashboard.

Don't use crappy apps. Go with a wired PC to the Web UI at http://192.168.1.1 and set up your router there
