I need to disable the access point in the sofware settings on R8000P but I cant get into routers sofware. I tried 192.168.1.1 when only connected to the R8000P and it times out. Also at present I am directly connected to the R8000P which is also connected to the main Router(ASUS AC1900) and tried 192.168.1.1 but that brings up the ASUS login. Last I followed the suggestions at https://kb.netgear.com/27199/How-do-I-troubleshoot-routerlogin-net-and-routerlogin-com-access-errors...
Even did the factory reset. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Thank you but a reset did not work or was too tricky for me to do it correctly...lol(4 times ..pushed the reset button with a pen and waited for the lights to flicker). I was able to finally get the ip address(from netgear genie http://192.168.1.232).
I will be logging into that and unchecking the box for Enable AP Mode to get the router back to what I need.

A reset should reset the router back to router mode. Can be a little tricky as you have to hold the reset button in for say 10 seconds, or until the lights start flashing. Just a poke will not do a reset.
