lan-to-lan VPN

All:
Sorry in advance if this question has been answered, but I have spent hours searching for an answer, to no avail.

I just purchased an R7000, its still sitting on my counter in the unopened box, as I need to add VPN functionality at my workplace so that I & some colleagues can connect in. However, in planning for a new office that we are going to open in 6 months or so, I found out that we will need to establish a lan-to-lan vpn for a database application we use.

The question is this: can I use this R7000, say combined with another one, to establish a pan-to-lan vpn, or do I need to get a proSafe or sonic wall-type appliance?

Thanks.
